Perinatal Mental Health

Some define the perinatal period as covering pregnancy to baby’s first birthday. We’re a bit more inclusive. We can provide support from the moment you start thinking about having a baby. Because infertility, miscarriage, termination and stillbirth are still perinatal concerns. Because it can take years to fully recalibrate after giving birth.

Whether you're struggling to conceive, or grieving a miscarriage, trying to adjust to being a new parent, or worried about bonding, the road to parenthood is rarely as smooth as the movies would have us believe. We have experienced perinatal clinicians on our team that can help.

Laura is a highly experienced perinatal psychologist who has recently relocated to Launceston from Canberra. She's keen to support perinatal clients face-to-face in Launceston, or she can meet you wherever you are via telehealth. Sessions with Laura are $240.

Ellie is a provisional psychologist (who recently passed her National Psychology Exam and will be fully registered soon). She has had a longstanding interest in perinatal mental health and is working closely with Laura to support perinatal clients face-to face in Hobart and Kingston, or via telehealth. While Ellie is still a provisional psychologist, sessions are $160.

If you're keen to get started on your mental health care as part of your perinatal journey, we're here to help. You can book in straight away, with or without a GP referral.
