Victoria Headlam

Victoria (she/her) is a highly experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, EMDR-trained therapist, and Clinical Team Leader at The Crawley Clinic. She provides evidence-based psychological therapy for adults and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges and other mental health concerns.

Victoria works collaboratively with clients to understand the barriers affecting their wellbeing, identify their strengths, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change. Her warm, compassionate and trauma-informed approach helps clients feel safe while working towards their personal goals.

Victoria is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy commonly used to treat trauma and post-traumatic stress. She also draws from a range of established psychological therapies, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), tailoring treatment to each person’s individual needs and circumstances.

She has a particular interest in trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing, neuroplasticity and the way our relationships shape psychological health. Her work has been influenced by the research of Dr Dan Siegel and Dr Norman Doidge, together with the insights of people with lived experience of anxiety, depression and persistent pain.

As a born-and-bred Tasmanian who has lived extensively in rural and remote communities across Tasmania and mainland Australia, Victoria has a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of regional living. She values providing high-quality psychological care that is accessible to people regardless of where they live.

Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending time at the beach, bushwalking, reading and playing music.
