Provisional Psychologist

Dom (he/him) is a Provisional Psychologist who brings with him over nine years experience in the disability and mental health sectors, working with a variety of diverse client presentations.

Over this time, Dom has developed an approach that is centred on harnessing the strengths of the individuals he supports, as well as promoting their autonomy and independence. Having completed his Masters of Professional Psychology at Monash University in 2025, Dom believes in therapy being a collaborative process built on mutual trust and respect, utilising an evidence-based approach adapted to support clients to achieve their goals. Dom is experienced in using techniques across various modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dom is an openly neurodivergent practitioner, and is passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients shown through his active engagement in research through the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) exploring the importance of a neurodivergent social identity. Dom is also particularly interested in working alongside young men navigating the transition from adolescence to adulthood, to build emotional awareness and promote healthy masculinity.

Outside of work, Dom enjoys time watching and playing various sports, with a particular love of the St Kilda Football Club and Hobart Hurricanes. If he isn't watching sport or training for a marathon, he is likely playing his guitar and trying to write funny songs.

Dom is available to see clients of all ages in Hobart, or via telehealth Australia-wide.
