Monique Alafaci
Psychologist
Monique is a psychologist with over six years of experience working with children and adolescents and has most recently worked with adults and young people in a private practice setting.
Monique has a gentle and calm demeanour and feels that each client's needs are unique, therefore she approaches each engagement with fresh eyes. She believes that open communication aids in the development of the finest possible client-therapist relationships. Monique is also interested in assisting clients working through questions around sexuality, gender identity and sexual health.
Monique draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as mindfulness-based approaches, emotional regulation therapy and behavioural interventions.
Monique volunteers and serves as the President of the Make-a-Wish Western Melbourne branch, granting wishes for children with critical illnesses. She likes to spend time with her family and friends and go to athletic events.
Monique is available for telehealth sessions for clients anywhere across Australia, or face to face sessions in Melbourne.
