Provisional Psychologist

Ellie (She/Her) is a Provisional Psychologist who completed her Master of Professional Psychology at Macquarie University. Ellie was born and raised in Hobart and has recently returned to her home state after spending the two years interstate.

Ellie works with a diverse range of clients and presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and general mental health. She has a keen interest in perinatal psychology (perinatal is the time from pregnancy to a year after childbirth) and has experience working with clients in perinatal mental health in the public health setting. She is passionate about supporting women through this transition and providing a comfortable, safe and non-judgemental space for them to share their experiences.

Ellie draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) strategies. She uses a biopsychosocial approach to understanding each person holistically and strives to use strategies best suited to the individual. Using this approach, Ellie considers the biological, psychological and social factors at play and how they are influencing an individual’s mental health and overall wellbeing.

In her spare time, Ellie enjoys going on adventures around Tasmania, snorkelling, reading, and attending live music events.

Ellie is available for Telehealth sessions Australia wide and face to face sessions in Southern Tasmania.
