Dr Tess Crawley is an Australian clinical and forensic psychologist. She was born in Launceston, and is an eighth generation Tasmanian and her family has a long history of business in Launceston. After living in various locations around Australia, Tess returned to study psychology at the University of Tasmania, where she completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology and was a lecturer for a time.
In addition to seeing a small number of perinatal clients, Tess has a strong interest in supporting other private practice owners and business owners in other settings. Tess runs a number of business coaching services to clients around Australia.
You’ll see Tess regularly speaking on her Facebook pages and her YouTube channel, you can listen to her podcast, and you can also purchase her books and other resources (many of them free) from her website – www.tesscrawley.com.au These are all aimed at supporting business owners. Her mission is to provide as many free resources to the small business community as she can, so her videos and written resources might be helpful to you. And not that you’d ever guess, but before becoming a Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, Tess was an actress and worked in the music industry.
In her spare time, Tess loves to travel with her family and secretly aspires to indulge her passion for photography and writing. She is also a strong supporter of the arts, with artworks by a number of Tasmanian artists hanging from the walls of The Crawley Clinic in Hobart and Launceston.
Charlotte was born in Tasmania, but has called Melbourne home since 2014. She joined The Crawley Clinic team in 2020, providing telehealth services to those in her home state from our Melbourne office.
Charlotte is a registered psychologist whose clinical experience has included clients of all ages. She has most recently worked with adult men in the criminal justice system.
Charlotte has a keen interest in forensic and health psychology along with anxiety, mood disorders, grief and general mental health. She appreciates that each person has a unique set of circumstances and works collaboratively with clients to achieve positive outcomes. Through her supportive and empathetic approach, clients are able to share their experiences in a safe and comfortable environment.
Charlotte uses a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills training as well as Mindfulness based approaches and Self-Compassion interventions to achieve positive results for her clients.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys reading and hanging out with her two cats Laz and Lil.
Anita is a registered psychologist based in Melbourne providing telehealth services to Tasmania. She has experience working with adolescents and adults, as well as experiencing helping those with intellectual disabilities work on behavioural change and stress management.
Anita enjoys working with a diverse range of presentations and has an interest in anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and general mental health and wellbeing. She recognises her clients as the expert in their own life, that every client is individual and that successful therapy includes tailoring therapy to each client’s goals and
individual needs. Anita draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and solution focused therapy.
In her spare time, Anita enjoys reading, traveling, listening to music and spending time with friends.
